Griffith University - Ireland
Griffith College is Ireland’s largest independent institution, founded in 1974 with campuses in Dublin, Cork, and Limerick. Across all locations, it serves nearly 8,000 students (around 1,400 international) enrolled in over 170 QQI accredited programmes ranging from undergraduate and postgraduate degrees to professional diplomas and language courses.
Dublin Main Campus sprawls over seven acres on historic grounds once part of Griffith Barracks, just a mile from St Stephen’s Green. It houses creative arts, business, computing, law, journalism, and the Leinster School of Music & Drama. Cork Campus, established via Skerry’s merger, is a five acre site near Cork city centre offering business, law, journalism, computing, and pharmaceutical management. Limerick Campus, opened in 2006 after acquiring Mid-West Business Institute, provides programmes in accountancy, business, law, engineering, computing, and hospitality, and has about 800.
Small class sizes (roughly 1:20 ratio), strong industry links, ACCA platinum accreditation, professional support offices, and hands on facilities—studios, labs, radio station—characterize all campuses. With a €200 m modernization plan for its Dublin site in progress, the college aims to triple capacity while preserving architectural heritage.
Vibrant student life includes over 60 clubs, career incubation hubs, internships, and support services. Griffith’s graduates enjoy strong employability outcomes in global fields such as business, law, computing, media, and the arts.
